On April 17th, Enterprise for High School Students (EHSS) held its eighth annual Art Tour, an event that offers a unique opportunity to visit the homes of ten of San Francisco’s most prominent collectors and view their exceptional works. The event was chaired by Jay, Mary Lou Castellanos and Kimberly Blattner. On this year’s tour guests viewed the photography collection of Paul Sack, the boldly contemporary art collection of Chara Schreyer, the contemporary glass sculpture collection of Dorothy and George Saxe, and seven other world-class collections. EHSS is a non-profit organization that offers San Francisco high school students a variety of services to help them to develop skills, find jobs and explore career interests. www.ehss.org

Jeffers Design Group is thrilled to have been honored with a 2008 California Home & Design Achievement Award. The firm’s design for a Sonoma residence was awarded best Residential Interior Design over 3,000 square feet. JDG also created the interior design for the home honored as best Residential Architecture over 3,000 square feet, designed by architects House & House. Both projects are featured in the March issue of California Home & Design.

Jay will evoke one of his favorite decades of design, 1950-60, at The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show Benefiting Enterprise for High School Students (October 25-28). Each year the SFFAS honors four designers by inviting them to create Designer Vignettes inspired by the show’s annual theme. 2007 celebrates “Modern Design Classics from San Francisco Collections,” focusing on the first half of the 20th Century. www.sffas.org

Jay is proud to be featured in the 30th Anniversary San Francisco Decorator Showcase, benefiting University High School. The Showcase is widely considered to be one of the premiere showcase events in the country, and for its 30th anniversary has invited back top alumni designers for "A Celebration of San Francisco Design." Located at 2901 Broadway, the Pacific Heights mansion is one of the city's most architecturally significant residences. Jay's design for the elegant historic property is a bespoke bedroom for a Modern English Dandy. The house will be open to the public from April 28 - May 28. www.decoratorshowcase.org
